Tyhen Foundation KR285CS low headroom rotary drilling rig construction in Hangzhou factory

Recently, Tyhen Foundation KR285CS low headroom rotary drilling rig was constructed in the project of Nongfu Spring in Hangzhou. This project was constructed in the factory, with a height limit of 11 meters and a narrow construction space. The hole diameter on site is 600mm, and the hole depth is about 6~18m. The geological conditions primarily consisted of backfill soil layers, sand layers, backfilled limestone, and sandstone, making the geological construction conditions relatively complex. The backfilled limestone had a large volume, with particle sizes ranging from 200 to 2000mm. Drilling had a significant impact on the borehole walls and interiors, making it highly susceptible to borehole collapse and rock dislodgement. As the backfilled layers contained large stones, accounting for more than 80% of the content, using long casing for wall protection during onsite construction was not feasible. In order to reduce costs for the client, after drilling through the collapsed borehole wall, red soil or clay was used for backfilling the limestone. The backfill material was then compacted tightly, leading to great construction difficulty. The drilling process required penetrating into the rock by 2 meters, putting the stability, reliability, and judgment capability of the drilling rig and the operator to the test. With the full support of the Tyhen foundation construction experts, the drilling operation was successfully completed, earning unanimous praise from the project owner.
